I think one of my favourite things about the internet is blogs. It is like a secret window into someone's world. Food blogs, sewing blogs, fashion blogs, crafting blogs, I love them all! I also love it when your friends have a blog so you can read all about what they are up to and what they love. My friend Hollie has a lovely blog called Little Lost Love full of pretty things to discover. It is one of my favourites and I always look forward to updates in my reader.
This year seems to be going so fast that you forget to realise the last time you probably had a few days break was over Christmas and New Year. A bit of time to do not much at all, sit around and read books, eat scones with jam and cream with tea made in a pot. Drink wine in the afternoon and wake up late the next morning without a care in the world. I think the perfect place to do this would be in Daylesford at the new Lark House. Allison from Lark has a house you can rent out for perfect weekends, or if you're like us and work all weekend, a midweek getaway. Just look at the pictures, it's perfect!
Good Australian TV is often something that isn't easy to find. Sure there are some amazing shows out there, but then there is also a bunch of TV not worth even thinking about. A few years ago I got Love My Way out from the local video hire place and fell in love with it. I think it is one of my favourite programmes of all time. I wasn't sure if Tangle (also a Foxtel show) would be as good but it is a totally different beast and very enjoyable, mind you it makes me scared to have children because one day they will be teenagers. Oh and Ben Mendelsohn really knows how to play total pricks!
I've seen the postcard for Ears 'Headspace' exhibition sitting at the cafe at Rose Street Market cafe for a few weeks now. The exhibition opens at No Vancancy's Federation Square Gallery this Wednesday 18th May from 6pm and I think it might be worth a look for the Brett Whiteley-ness of it. The exhibition runs from the 17th - 29th of May so if you're in Melbourne come and have a look.
